GRAND FORKS, N.D. — The Montana women's soccer team opened its season with a scoreless draw against North Dakota on Friday afternoon.

Montana keeper Claire Howard was called on to stop just one of North Dakota's five total shots. Montana also had five shots and all were stopped by UND keeper Catherine Klein. Five different players took one shot apiece for the Griz.

Montana owned a 9-8 edge in corner kicks. UND had eight fouls to Montana's six.

The Griz will remain on the road to face North Dakota State on Sunday at noon.
