CHENEY, Wash. - Erica Perry went 9 of 16 from the field for 22 points in Montana State's 65-57 win over Eastern Washington in the semifinal round of the Big Sky Conference tournament Friday night.
Sarah Strand added 17 points and six rebounds, while Katie Bussey had 10 points for the Bobcats (18-13).
The Eagles (19-11) took a 10-3 lead with 15:53 remaining in the first half, but the Bobcats went on a 10-0 run over the next three minutes. EWU regained the lead at the 11:22 mark and went into halftime with a 26-25 lead.
The game stayed close in the second half until MSU took the lead for good on Strand's 3-pointer with 3:57 left. Her shot was part of a 7-0 run that put the Bobcats out of reach.
Brianne Ryan led the Eagles with 10 points, and Nicole Scott chipped in eight points and a game-high 12 rebounds. Montana State will face Portland State in the championship game Saturday afternoon.
