BOULDER, Colo. - Boulder prosecutors filed theft and trespassing charges against a UNLV assistant football coach after authorities accused him of taking the wallet and gun of a strip club's bouncer.
Prosecutors filed the charges Thursday against Tyler Gregorak, who is UNLV's linebackers coach and recruiting coordinator. UNLV's athletic director asked Gregorak this week to resign.
The bouncer told police his items were taken from his car May 1, hours after he refused to allow Gregorak to enter a Boulder strip club because he appeared too intoxicated. The bouncer told police Gregorak later went to his home to apologize and return his items.
Gregorak played linebacker for the University of Colorado in 1997-99 and was linebackers coach for the University of Montana before joining UNLV.
