Defending champion Scott Foster of Anthem, Arizona, shot a 6-under-par 66 to take the lead after two rounds of the Montana Open on Saturday at Larchmont Golf Course.

Foster, who won the tournament in 2014 as well, stands at 134 after 36 holes in the 54-hole tournament for professionals and amateurs. The final round will be played Sunday.

Foster holds just a one-shot lead over 2017 winner Ryan Porch of Kalispell, who carded the day's best round with a 64. Another stroke back are Jimmy Mee of Libby, the 2016 winner, and Russell Grove of Coeur d'Alene. Mee and Grove each shot 69 on Saturday to sit at 136 entering the final round.

Missoula's Mike Mattson leads the amateurs with a 36-hole total of 137. Kalispell's Ryan Malby, another past champion, is at 138 and first-round leader Chris Dompier of Marana, Arizona, is at 139, five strokes back.
