ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. - Former University of Montana offensive lineman Dylan McFarland was signed to the Buffalo Bills' 53-man roster Friday, after the team placed defensive lineman Lauvale Sape on season-ending injured reserve with an ankle injury.

Sape was injured during a loss to New England last week. McFarland, of Kalispell, Mont., is on the roster for Saturday's game against the Denver Broncos.

The Bills' sixth-round pick in 2003, Sape made eight tackles in nine games. McFarland, a 2004 seventh-round pick, was on the practice squad all year.
