CORVALLIS -- Corvallis hit a bucket with less than five seconds remaining to pull within one point, 59-58, but Missoula Sentinel was able to hold the ball without an in-bounds pass, and the Class AA Spartans survived their Bitterroot tour versus the Class A Devils on Thursday.

"We dug ourselves a hole and tried to climb out of it. We just didn't have enough clock," said Corvallis coach Joe Jessop, whose team spotted Sentinel a nine-point lead going into the fourth quarter.

Sentinel's Zaccheus Darko-Kelly scored a game-high 23 points, including five 3-pointers. Jeff Krstulich added 10 points to round out Spartans in double figures.

Jesse Sims had a double-double with 20 points and 10 boards for Corvallis, and Jayce Gilder finished with 21 points and nine rebounds. Chase Jessop added 14 points.

Sentinel, which improved to 2-1 overall, utilized 10 different scorers. Corvallis (1-3) had four players in the scoring column.
