AJ Wetsch scored 16 of his 25 points in the second half to lift Whitefish to a 64-55 boys' basketball win over Anaconda in the Tip-off Tournament on Saturday at the University of Montana's Dahlberg Arena.

Anaconda led 30-27 at halftime on the strength of a 21-12 edge in the second quarter. Bobby Swainston scored nine of his 14 points in the big period.

Whitefish, though, responded with a 25-8 run in the third quarter to take control. Wetsch scored 14 in the quarter for the Bulldogs, who converted just 13 of 32 free throws for the game.

Derek Kastella and Brian FauntLeRoy added nine points apiece for Whitefish.

Caleb Stetzner led Anaconda with 15 points and Ricco Ungaretti added 11.
