PORTLAND — Billings Senior's Tiahna Vladic finished 19th on Saturday at the Nike Cross Nationals at Glendoveer Golf Course.

The reigning Class AA cross country champion completed the course in 17 minutes, 33.6 seconds. Vladic bettered her 21st-place finishing from 2016.

She recently committed to furthering her running career at Boise State.

Missoula Hellgate's Ember Stratton was 21st in 17:37.7. Stratton placed second in 2016 when she was competing for Sunset High in Portland before transferring back to Missoula this past year.

Runners qualified for the meet either as members of teams or as the top individuals from their region. Vladic and Stratton earned individual berths for their finishes at the Northwest regional in Boise three weeks ago.

Katelyn Tuohy of New York won the girls race in 16:37.8. Central Oregon won the team title.

The boys race was won by California's Liam Anderson (14:57.6). Purcelville (Virginia) defended its 2017 team title.
