BOZEMAN — Drummond-Philipsburg all-purpose football standout Jaxon Lee and Huntley Project volleyball setter Addy Hultgren are the 406mtsports.com Athletes of the Month for November after leading their teams to state championships.

Lee amassed 346 all-purpose yards — including 256 on 18 carries as a running back — scored four touchdowns and intercepted three passes as defending Class C 8-Man state champion Drummond-Philipsburg (Flint Creek) rolled past Great Falls Central 50-14 in the final at Butte for its 25th consecutive win. Lee also intercepted three passes in a 74-14 quarterfinal win over Culbertson, returning two for TDs, and he caught another two scoring passes in a 28-20 semifinal victory over Shelby.

Lee also announced a football scholarship offer from Montana State this week.

Hultgren was an anchor for an overpowering Huntley Project team that won its 11th Class B volleyball crown and extended its winning streak to 67 matches. The Red Devils only dropped two sets in a season that included a win over Class A runnerup Belgrade.

Hultgren, also the ace pitcher on the Red Devils' softball team, had 44 of Huntley Project's 46 assists in the title match. She had 36 assists, eight digs, two blocks and two aces in a semifinal win over Florence.
