Bridger's Colter Zentner

Bridger's Colter Zentner is one of 12 players that will represent Montana at the upcoming Can-Am All-Star Game in Saskatchewan. 

BILLINGS — There are 12 players from the Montana High School Association 6-Man classification on the roster for the upcoming Can-Am All-Star Game.

The game will be played July 7 in Kerrobert, Saskatchewan, at 5 p.m.

The Montana players are: Javier Somerfeld, RB/LB, Power; Trever VandenBos, RB/LB, Valier; Colter Zentner, RB/LB, Bridger; Nick Althoff, RB/DB, Bridger; Shay Adler, RB/LB, Hysham; Brian Field, RB/DE, Westby-Grenora; Jeremiah Paine, QB/DB, Westby-Grenora; Koltin Christiaens, QB/DB, Valier; Russell Zentner, C/DB, Bridger; Will South, RB/LB, Bainville; Cole Berg, C/DE, Westby-Grenora; Treyton Pickering, E/DE, Sunburst.

The head coach is Brad Hoffman of Custer-Hysham and the assistants are Nate Oren of Fromberg and Thomas Field of Westby-Grenora. 

Mark Largent and Danny Ramirez, both of Kaycee, Wyoming, are also on the U.S. squad. Tucker Scherbarth of Harvard, Nebraska, and Garret Egger of Valentine, Nebraska, round out the team. 

The U.S. team will practice at Montana State-Northern in Havre on July 3-4. After practice on July 4, the team will depart to Saskatchewan and will practice on Thursday and Friday in Canada.

"This will be the fourth one I've been involved in. They treat you very nice up there and take it serious," Hoffman said. "They hold tryouts up there (in Canada) to make the team. It's kind of a big deal up there for them.

"We have a great roster. We have a lot of speed and good tough kids and good football players. We'll have a pretty good team. We have a lot of super fast kids and a lot of speed."
