Loyola dominates Plains golf

PLAINS – Loyola Sacred Heart dominated the Plains Invitational golf tournament Saturday at Wild Horse Golf Course.

The boys and girls took the team titles and Loyola golfers alsp claimed medalist honors.

Tom Swanson carded a 72 to best teammates Preston Peterson (73) and Nick Deschamps (74).

The Rams had a team score of 297. Thompson Falls was second at 339 and Bigfork was third at 345.

Loyola’s Maggie Crippen fired a 76 for the low score among the girls. Bigfork’s Sara Keenan won a tiebreaker with Loyola Sadie Crippen to place second after both carded 85s.

BOYS

Team scores: Loyola Sacred Heart 297, Thompson Falls 339, Bigfork 345, Seeley-Swan 389, Ronan 427, Superior 430. Also competing: Plains, St. Regis, Eureka.
