Bozeman hits 2 late goals to tie Bruins

BOZEMAN – The Bozeman Icedogs scored two late goals, including the only power-play goal of the game, to tie the Missoula Bruins high school hockey team 4-4 on Sunday morning.

Missoula (7-0-2) led 4-2 after JJ O’Bannon hit the back of the Bozeman net with 12:05 left in the game but David Geddes scored for Bozeman with just under three minutes left and Michael Truex hit the net with 81 seconds left to force the tie.

Missoula goalie Kevin Wheeler stopped 35 of the 39 shots he faced. Andrew Frazier, Erik Hartzell and Matt Gagliardi all scored for Missoula.

The Bruins travel to Helena on Friday and host Glacier on Saturday and Sunday.
