ST. IGNATIUS - The Missoula Pioneers swept a doubleheader from the Mission Valley Rockies on Saturday in Senior Babe Ruth baseball action.
The Pioneers won the opener 9-5 and the nightcap 10-2.
Kirk Booi picked up the win on the mound in the first game, striking out nine. Jordan Schafer went 3 for 5 with two runs batted in.
Schafer struck out 12 batters en route to the win in the second game. He helped his own cause with a 5-for-5 performance at the plate. He had a three-run homer, a double and three singles. Trevor Price was 4 for 5 with a pair of doubles and Marshall Murray added three singles.
Missoula improved to 4-0 on the season and faces the Bitterroot Red Sox in a doubleheader on Sunday in Hamilton.
