Kalispell Glacier forward Shay Smithwick-Hann made the Class AA boys' all-state team for a third consecutive season this week, when the list was released by league coaches.

The 6-foot-4 senior was one of two players to get named for a third year in a row, joining Helena Capital standout Matt Miller, and one of four players to repeat. The other two repeat selections were Missoula Sentinel senior Kendal Maier and Great Falls CMR senior Josh Huestis.

Maier was Class AA's second-leading scorer during the regular season. He averaged 17.3 points per game, which trailed only Billings West senior Brian Muller (20.3). Huestis, who led the Rustlers to their second straight AA boys' title last weekend in Billings, was third in scoring (16.9), but first in rebounding (12.8 per game) and blocked shots (5.1).

CMR beat West 71-41 in the championship game. Huestis' classmate Jordan Harper was also selected to the all-state squad. The only other team with two all-staters was Capital, which finished fourth at state. Senior Josh Dirks was a first-time pick.

Miller finished his senior season as AA's fifth-leading scorer (16.2 ppg). Smithwick-Hann, who guided the Wolfpack to their second state appearance in three seasons, was seventh in scoring (15.1) and third in rebounding (9.2).

Kalispell Flathead senior forward Karl Ingram rounded out the all-state picks from Western AA. Bozeman junior Tanner Roderick was the only underclassmen on the all-state squad.
