MISSOULA — Missoula Big Sky girls soccer junior forward Whitney Morrison and Missoula Hellgate boys soccer junior defender Dane Becker earned Allstate All-America honors this week.

Only 150 high school juniors — 75 girls and 75 boys — out of nearly 800,000 players across the country were named to the team. Morrison and Becker are the only two players from the state of Montana to receive the recognition.

Morrison finished with 19 goals and eight assists as the Eagles ended their season as the Class AA state runner-up. Becker had six goals and six assists for the Knights, who finished as the Class AA state runner-up, snapping their streak of three consecutive titles.

At a later date, 40 girls and 40 boys who are named Allstate All-Americans will be chosen to play in the Allstate All-America Cup. The game will take place during the summer of 2019 alongside the MLS All-Star Game in Orlando, Florida, and will be broadcast on ESPNU.
