WHITEFISH -- Taisuke Matsuo scored a goal and assisted on another as the Whitefish boys' soccer team posted a 4-0 win over Hamilton on Friday.

Matuso took a pass from Xander Burger and beat Hamilton goalie James Bess in the 26th minute to give the Bulldogs their only score of the first half.

Whitefish, which reached the semifinals of last year's Class A state tournament, scored a flurry of goals late to take control. Cody Brandt found the back of the net in the 60th minute to boost the lead to 2-0.

Twelve minutes later, Noah Romagnuolo scored and Casey Ling added another goal in the last minute of the game.

The Broncs had a chance to take an early lead, but Marty Anderson stopped a penalty kick.
