Corbin Pearson of Big Sandy was selected as the Most Valuable Player of the State C boys' basketball tournament by news media representatives and tournament officials.

Arlee senior guard Kyle Felsman and junior guard Kasey Bridgewater were also selected to the 10-person team. The fifth-ranked Warriors took fourth at state, losing 43-41 to Culbertson.

Pearson scored 24 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in Big Sandy's 51-49 victory over Power in the championship game. Pearson delivered the winning points by hitting two free throws with four-tenths of a second remaining.

For the tournament, Pearson averaged 23.3 points and 13.3 rebounds.
