GREAT FALLS -- Missoula Big Sky has a pair of semifinalists, but teams from the east side of the state are running away with the CMR Holiday Wrestling Classic through Day 1.

Great Falls High, the defending State AA champ, is way out in front with 135.5 points, and no western squad is in the top five. Flathead, behind its two semifinalists, is sixth with 82.5 points.

Bozeman sits in second at 94 with Helena (89.5) third, just ahead of host Great Falls CMR (88) in the 37th annual holiday tourney.

Big Sky's Demo Koures (113 pounds) and Luke Entzel (170) both made it through to Saturday's semis, though the Eagles are just tied for 11th with 63 points.

Three-time State A champ Shonn Roberts of Columbia Falls is there too at 138 pounds.

Drummond 145-pounder Tony Bergerson is also into the semis wrestling for the Flint Creek co-op with Philipsburg. The Class C wrestler pinned AA Great Falls' Chase Short in the quarterfinals.
