SHERIDAN, Wyo. — Justin Schwartzmiller had a hat trick to lead the Sheridan Hawks past the Missoula Jr. Bruins 6-2 in an NA3HL hockey game Friday night.
The loss dropped the Bruins to 6-10 in the league's Frontier Division. Sheridan improved to 13-4.
Missoula struck first on an unassisted goal from Zane Cluphf just 5:45 into the game. It was his fifth of the season.

Sheridan tied it up at the 10:21 mark of the first period when Schwartzmiller scored his 26th of the season in just 17 games. Jonathon Teasdale gave Sheridan a 2-1 lead with a goal at the 13:43 mark. The Hawks owned a 25-9 edge in shots in the opening period.
The Hawks pushed their lead to 3-1 on Teasdale's second goal of the game 8:49 into the second period. Schwartzmiller scored his second of the game midway through the period to push the edge to 4-1. Missoula responded 90 seconds later on a goal from Mi-Kwan Tallman to cut the gap to 4-2. Schwartzmiller got his hat trick to extend the lead to 5-2 late in the second period, giving him 28 goals for the season.
Alex Kesler scored 4:29 into the third period to extend the lead to 6-2.
