RAPID CITY, S.D. - Derek Snodgrass scored two goals and the Missoula Bruins improved to 2-0 in pool play at the Northern Plains District Presidents Cup hockey tournament Friday, beating the Grand Forks (N.D.) Stallions 6-2.

Cody Jahrig and Casey Higgins lit the lamp along with Snodgrass in the first period, when Missoula (30-9-4) got all the goals it needed.

Snodgrass tallied in the second to put the Bruins up 4-0; Brett Mathews, who also had a first-period assist, tacked on the final goal of the day at 9:09 of the third.

Camp Kenyon and Cody Skilling had two assists each. Shae Hayman and Aaron Rio added assists for Missoula.

Chris Tethewey added an unassisted goal for the Bruins, who outshot the Stallions 44-32 and set up a show-down with the Sioux Falls (S.D.) Flyers Saturday at 1 p.m.

Sioux Falls beat Grand Forks 11-3 earlier Saturday in pool play.
