PENGHU, Taiwan — Suzanne Huse of Missoula won the Ironman Taiwan women's professional event last weekend.
According to the web site k226.com, high winds created unsafe conditions in the waters off of Penghu and as a result the swim distance was reduced to 400 meters. Huse had a solid day on the bike and run and finished with a time of 8:25:03.
Huse, 44, is the oldest pro, male or female, to ever win a full Ironman. Her victory earned her a spot in the 2019 Ironman World Championship in Hawaii.
