FRENCHTOWN - Billings Arrowhead-Big Sky needed just four innings due to the 10-run margin rule to down Mount Jumbo East-West 14-0 in Friday's first game at the State Major softball tournament at Frenchtown High School.

Billings starting pitcher McKenzie Morgan threw two innings of no-hit ball, fanning five and walking none. She was relieved by Megan Dahlquist, who pitched the final two frames, allowing two hits and two walks while fanning a pair. Kelly Schleining had a triple to pace the Billings offense.

Frankie Needle and Kara Hogan had singles for Mount Jumbo East-West.

The second game of the best-of-three-game series is at 10 a.m. Saturday with a third and deciding contest scheduled for 3 p.m. if necessary.
