Former Montana men’s basketball player Walter Wright is continuing his career overseas in Slovakia.
The 22-year old guard signed with BK Váhostav-SK Žilina on Wednesday, according to a report by the (Waterbury, Connecticut) Republican American.
The team plays in Slovakia’s Division 3 and is located in Žilina, the fourth-largest city in country with a population of 85,000.
Wright averaged 11.9 points, 3.8 assists and 2.7 rebounds per game in two seasons with the Griz in 2015-16 and 2016-17. He was a Big Sky All-Conference honorable mention as a junior.
He came to the Griz after he played two years of junior college basketball at Snow College in Utah.
He was a two-time Connecticut All-State selection at Wilby High School in Waterbury, Connecticut.
