The University of Montana women's golf team was in fifth place Monday after the second day of the Idaho Vandal Spring Invitational. Montana shot a 331 to post a two-day total of 672 at the University of Idaho Golf Course.

The eight-team tournament wraps up Tuesday.

UM's Jennifer Ruddy is in a tie for 12th place with a two-day total of 163 (85-78). Teammates Christine Walchuk and Jennifer Cavanagh were tied for 22nd at 169. Jenna Redfern was in 29th at 173, and Margaret Pierose was in 30th at 174.

Idaho's Noelle Hamilton (79-71) and Wyoming's Jordan Lantz (75-75) are tied for the lead at 150. The Vandals are well in front in the team competition with a 610 total. Eastern Washington is in second at 663.
