Mick Holien, Missoulian Public asked to call
Authorities are looking for a 20-year-old man who left the Missoula Pre-Release Center and failed to report back.
Richard Earl Burkhart checked out of the Mullan Road facility at 1 p.m. Monday saying he would be working at a job until 11 p.m. Later, it was learned he was not scheduled to work and he couldn't be located, according to a Missoula Correctional Services press release.
Burkhart, described as 6 feet 4 inches tall with a slender build, was last seen wearing a green shirt, black pants, white tennis shoes and baseball cap. He also is believed to be carrying a black jacket.
He is serving a five-year sentence to the Department of Corrections after being convicted of accountability to forgery, a felony, in Flathead County.
The public is asked to call 9-1-1 if Burkhart is seen.
