Lecture focuses on 'Ceramic Traditions'

The Montana Museum of Art and Culture presents a lecture with Josh DeWeese, titled &#8220Montana's Ceramic Traditions," Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Meloy Gallery.

DeWeese is a ceramic artist and resident director of the Archie Bray Foundation for Ceramic Arts in Helena. The lecture takes place in conjunction with the exhibition &#8220Frances Senska: A Life in Art," on view in the Meloy and Paxson Galleries through February.

The Meloy and Paxson Galleries are located in the UM PARTV Building. Hours are Tuesday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Friday-Saturday, 4-8:30 p.m. There is free parking available at the northwest corner of the UM PARTV Building.

Get a song with your cheesecake at Sentinel

Singing waiters and waitresses will serve cheesecakes and more during the Sentinel High School Spartanaires Dessert Show on Saturday, Feb. 25, at Sentinel High School.

The two shows, at 6 and 8:30 p.m., also will include drawings for prizes and musical offerings by soloists, ensembles and the award-winning Spartanaires.

The event is a fundraiser for the school's choral programs.

Tickets, which are limited and sell quickly, are $12 for one and $20 for two.
