Missoulian State Bureau Great Falls Rep. chosed for education, economic-development experience
HELENA - Democratic gubernatorial candidate Mike Cooney named six-term Rep. Diana Wyatt of Great Falls as his running mate Wednesday, calling her "a woman of vision, courage and commitment."
The announcement took place in Great Falls at the Montana State University College of Technology, where Wyatt, 52, works as disability services coordinator.
Cooney, the last of the five gubernatorial candidates to select a running mate, said he wanted to take his time because it is such an important decision.
He said Wyatt's background in education, her work on economic-development issues and her leadership skills led him to conclude that "I think we make a very good match."
