Ravalli County Airport will be undergoing four days of scheduled preventative pavement maintenance that will include three days of impactful closures beginning June 22, 2026. This work is part of the airport's ongoing pavement maintenance program and is being completed as the pavement surfaces have reached their five-year maintenance cycle.
The project will include crack sealing, seal coating and pavement remarking. Work will be completed in two phases, with Phase 1 consisting of the primary maintenance activities and temporary pavement markings. Phase 2 will include the final pavement markings after a 30-day cure of the seal coat and will be announced as soon as a date has been identified.
Please be aware of the following upcoming closures:
Monday, June 22, beginning at 5 a.m. — Taxiway B south of Taxiway A4 only will be closed. All other airport areas will remain open.
Tuesday, June 23, beginning at 5 a.m. through Thursday, June 25, ending at 11 p.m. — All airport surfaces will be closed. This includes the runway, taxiways, main ramp and all taxilanes. This closure applies to all aircraft and all vehicle traffic.
U.S. Forest Service helipad operations will remain open during the project.
Taxilane access during closure
Tuesday, June 23, beginning at 5 a.m. through Thursday, June 25, ending at 11 p.m., vehicle traffic will also be prohibited on all airport taxilanes and movement areas until the airport is officially reopened.
For tenants and businesses that utilize taxilanes to access hangars, it is your responsibility to ensure that employees, contractors, vendors, customers and visitors are aware of and comply with these closures. Unauthorized access to closed pavement areas could result in project delays, additional costs and potential liability. If you anticipate needing access to your hangar, please make arrangements prior to June 23 or after June 25.
While this project will create a temporary inconvenience, these maintenance activities are critical to protecting the airport's pavement infrastructure and extending its service life. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we complete these improvements.
Additional information will be posted on the county's website if the schedule changes due to weather or construction conditions.
