CORVALLIS, Mont. — The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) will close Woodside Bridge on Secondary Highway 373 (S 373) from 8 a.m. Tuesday, September 22, through 7 p.m. Friday, September 25, and 8 a.m. Tuesday, September 29, through 7 p.m. Thursday, October 1, to conduct drilling operations for a subsurface, or ground, investigation. Vehicle access to the Woodside Bridge Fishing Access Site (FAS) will also be closed during this time. Pedestrians may access the site using the walking path.

Subsurface investigations are conducted to test soil and groundwater conditions as part of the construction design process. MDT is currently designing plans for a new bridge at this location. Construction is anticipated to begin in 2029 and is dependent upon completion of design and availability of funding.
