The City of Missoula’s Redevelopment Agency invites the public to the second open house for the Reserve to Scott 2026 Master Plan to review the Draft Master Plan.
A master plan for the North Reserve-Scott Street Urban Renewal District (NRSS-URD) was completed in 2016. With changes that have occurred over the last 10 years, an updated plan is needed. The recent and future annexation of the Roseburg and Story House Montana properties into the city will add approximately 235 acres into the study area.
“During the first phase of the Master Plan process, the project team heard from the community and key stakeholders that transportation, connectivity and safety improvements are at the forefront of the conversation and are strongly desired,” said Annie Gorski, deputy director of the Missoula Redevelopment Agency.
Feedback from stakeholder interviews, the April 2 open house and the accompanying survey showed the community is also interested in seeing vacant and transitioning areas add vibrancy and activation to the area, blending the industrial and employment uses with housing and other amenities. Input from the community and key stakeholders will continue to be collected through the Draft Phase of the project.
The second public workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, June 10, from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Child Start Inc., Headstart, 1001 Worden Ave. Child care and a light meal will be provided.
