The Joseph Residence at Maclay Commons is a supportive housing program designed to serve the ever-increasing needs of homeless families in Missoula.
Families come from a variety of situations and struggle with addiction, mental illness and health-related issues, and are all experiencing economic hardship.
The mission of the Joseph Residence is to remove underlying barriers to success by building on strengths, fostering independence and promoting self-sufficiency. The agency is operated through a collaborative partnership between the Poverello Center and the Missoula Housing Authority, and is designed to house 16 homeless families. It provides on-site programming that includes intensive case management, support staff, parenting classes, financial education, supplemental food, nutritional education, transportation assistance and a youth enrichment program.
