RED LODGE – Around 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 18, an adult black bear attempted to attack a person walking near Red Lodge Middle School. A good Samaritan intervened and was able to prevent the attack. Haze bears away from your property with loud noises, paintball guns or bear spray.
Upcoming bear town hall meeting
FWP and the City of Red Lodge are hosting a bear town hall meeting on Monday, Aug. 24, at the Red Lodge Senior & Community Center (207 Villard Ave. S) to discuss this year’s bear conflicts. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m.
